Departure by A.G. Riddle

Departure came in the February Bookcase.club box and I promised a review of each book when I was done with it. I finished this one about two and a half weeks ago. I'm a bit behind on my book reviews, to say the least!

Departure was fantastic, and there's nothing I can really say without giving something away. I will say that there's a very good reason that a quote from Diana Gabaldon about the book is on the front, and I will leave you to it. I hated to put it down. Loved every page. There's quantum physics, time travel, airplanes, and the potential destruction of human society. Everything you could want in a book. If you liked Timeline by Michael Crichton, or if you liked the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, this one should be right up your alley. It's very well written. I will say this though - you have to pay attention to the chapter headings, as they indicate perspective shifts between different characters. It threw me for a loop the first time, as I generally ignore chapter titles, but this time it's relevant. 4 of 5 stars

It's an adult thriller, though a teenager could read it - there are no naughty bits.
